One very neat new Live offering is Office Live Workspace. This products gets very little attention so I decided to once again blog about it in the hopes of spreading the word.
The basic idea behind Live Workspace is to provide a web-based “service” that lets you share your Word, Excel, and other Microsoft Office documents in a shared secure webpage on the Internet. You can invite your family, friends and co-workers to specifics items or areas so its really a powerful collaboration tool.
Even without collaboration though its a great way to have your documents on-the-go and avoids having to email them every time you make an update just to be able an access them at another location*.
(*Warning: Be wary though, some Internet filters are overly zealous and might block this service, make sure you have a backup plan if your going to try and access your documents from a location you’ve never been to before with Live Workspace)
The best of all, this is a free service! So get started by following my guide below since there is nothing like trying something for yourself.
