Paul is reporting that people have noticed some new teasers ads on Microsoft.com regarding the fight for truth on Vista. I have not seen this myself but I really hope its true and only the beginning.
Windows Vista has only one big issue today, its reputation. The product itself works extremely well and is the best looking and most secure OS we ever made. Most people that use Vista on a modern PC simply love the experience and afterwards cannot go back to XP (im one of those converts in fact). Time to get the word out…
I apologize for the lack of posts lately, I have been away for my first vacation in years over at Las Vegas. Yes I got to see all the nice hotels, had a ton of great dinners with my wife, watch the show O and even spend $20.00 dollars on gambling. But what you guys probably want to see most are the real exciting pictures, so here are a few:
First we start of with me wearing a racing helmet at Pole Position Raceway. My wife actually beat me during the first lap, man i suck. Next, you’ll see me at...
Today I discovered a new free product called Microsoft Search Server 2008 Express for the Enterprise. This totally free standalone web portal allows you to search various internal information repositories from a unified search portal interface.
Here are the data resources it supports out of the box, but note that others can be configured:
Also it supports security configurations to limit what sources various people can use. You can even monitor search performance through various built-in results that allow you to see where traffic is going and optimize your search terms.

One very neat new Live offering is Office Live Workspace. This products gets very little attention so I decided to once again blog about it in the hopes of spreading the word.
The basic idea behind Live Workspace is to provide a web-based “service” that lets you share your Word, Excel, and other Microsoft Office documents in a shared secure webpage on the Internet. You can invite your family, friends and co-workers to specifics items or areas so its really a powerful collaboration tool.
Even without collaboration though its a great way to have your documents on-the-go and avoids having to email...
While looking for a blog engine that I could configure on my own server I looked at a variety of Blog Engines and CMS products built in .NET (which was an important factor to me). Some people have asked me what exactly did I look at so here is the list:

I saw this really funny video posted by TheStreet.com regarding how the people gathered for days in NYC to buy the new iPhone are a bunch of scripted “posers”. I found the video fairly funny so here it is:
The iPhone is not my problem, heck I love competition and own the original model myself (along with my other phones such as a Motorola Q) its just stupid stunts by Apple and its at times crazy fans upset me. But hey, its a free country so they can do it and I can comment on it
So while I am on...
As most of you know I have been working on migrating my blog over to a self-hosted Microsoft.NET powered engine and that moment is finally here.
BlogEngine.NET Subtext 2.0
After looking at a lot of options for blog engines and doing some soul searching I finally settled on BlogEngine.NET (I plan to blog all about the options I looked at later). BE.NET is simple to install, looks clean with its out-of-the-box templates and works greater with Live Writer. I also like the fact that it does not require a SQL Server database to store the blog content and instead uses XML files.
So...
